Haier HL26R

$580.00 Released May, 2008

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Dedicated headphone jack is an excellent feature - ideal for users viewing content late at night who need to be mindful of people nearby. Picture quality is excellent - colors are balanced and vivid, with minimal saturation issues amongst similarly-shaded hues. Initial setup is very easy - detailed instruction manual enables configuration within approximately 10 minutes regardless of user experience level.

The Cons:Stock sound outputting is very poor - users are required to attach an external speaker system for viewing TV/movie content. TV cannot distinguish between widescreen and standard aspect ratio content - must be manually configured each time a new format is to be played back. Fairly poor for video game playback - unit is seemingly prone to color balance issues when managing external video inputs via RCA.

The Haier HL26R is a 26" LCD TV that is a part of Haier's R Series of televisions. It has a 1366x768 resolution, 400 cd/m2 brightness, a 800:1 Dynamic Contrast Ratio and fast 6.5 ms response time for a good quality picture, even for fast moving images.
