Hitachi UT42V702

$3,499.00 Released July, 2008

Product Shot 1 The Pros:120 Hz processing significantly reduces motion blurring and pixelation - ideal for fast-paced action scenes and sports broadcasts. 1.5" display is truly thin - reduces overall unit weight and increases maneuverability for achieving ideal placement.

The Cons:Seemingly prone to operational failure within months of regular use - many users report having to purchase replacement parts, involving long wait times and added fees. Built-in speakers are very poor - 6-watt outputting is weak, and produces cheap "tinny" overtones. Lack of a dedicated analog audio output severely limits speaker connectivity options - not recommended for users with true hardware surround sound systems.

The 1.5 Series from Hitachi combine form and function to offer a 1080p LCD tv with 120Hz mode in a cabinet that is only 1.5 inches deep. For more information refer to the full Hitachi 1.5 Series report.
