LG 47LH50
$1,500.00
Released May, 2009
The Pros:Native internet services are excellent - YouTube, Netflix and Netscape services/Yahoo applications are fast and logically arranged. "Picture Wizard" significantly reduces initial screen calibration - automatically adjusts brightness and contrast levels based on room size and natural light levels. Swivelling base is great for pinpoint positioning - provides full horizontal adjustability and is easy to maneuver.
The Cons:Overall picture quality is sub-par as compared to similar models at the price point - Samsung and Sony models process 1080p at notably higher resolutions. 120 Hz feature is rather underwhelming - fast action scenes are prone to unwanted blurring and pixelation. Remote control is needlessly complicated - menus are awkwardly arranged and very difficult to navigate.
The LG 47LH50 is a 47" LCD HDTV from LG's LH50 Series for 2009. It features a native resolution of 1080p, 120Hz refresh rate, four HDMI inputs, and ethernet connectivity. For more information refer to the LG LH50 Series report.
