The TC-L42U12 is an entry-level LCD HDTV from Panasonic's VIERA U12 Series.  The television is designed with a 42" widescreen display making it suitable for small to medium sized rooms.  It offers a native resolution of 1080p and a dynamic contrast ratio of 15,000:1 to produce deeper blacks and brighter whites.

  The television also includes a built-in digital tuner and has a response time of 8ms for reduced motion blur.  The TC-L42U12 features integrated 20-watt stereo speakers with surround sound technology.  It offers standard connectivity with HDMI, composite, S-Video, and component inputs, as well as an SD memory card slot.  The television also includes Panasonic's VIERA Link for operating numerous devices on the VIERA remote as well as VIERA Image Viewer for displaying images on the screen from an SD card.  The TC-L42U12 is Energy Star qualified and comes with a 1 year limited warranty.
