The Philips 46PFL3706/F7 is an entry-level 46" LCD HDTV similar to the 40" Philips 40PFL3706/F7. Aside from size, the two models differ only slightly as the 46PFL3706/F7 sports superior brightness (430cd/m2 rather than 400) and contrast (4500:1 typical as opposed to 4000:1).

Otherwise, the two HDTVs sport the same features, including Pixel Plus HD image enhancement, Incredible Surround audio and limited USB media playback.

The 46PFL3706/F7's Pixel Plus HD picture processing enhances high definition video by enhancing colour and contrast to produce a more lifelike picture. Its Incredible Surround audio enhancement technology allows the 46PFL3706/F7 to produce simulated surround sound from its integrated stereo speakers by enhancing the sound stage. Meanwhile, the 46PFL3706/F7 sports a USB port which allows for MP3 playback and JPEG image viewing direct from USB flash storage devices.
