Samsung LN40A450
$1,099.00
Released March, 2008
The Pros:Ability to save custom settings is an excellent feature - allows users to store up to 3 configurations for each input. Phenomenal picture quality at the sub-$1000 price point - deep black levels, anti-glare screen coating and overall quality of HD imagery far exceeds competitors from LG and Vizio. Advanced picture adjustment settings enable a truly customized viewing experience - users willing to put the time in can achieve ideal brightness/contrast levels for their content and room type.
The Cons:Built-in speakers are fairly poor - minimal volume handling results in quieter levels, with higher levels prone to vibration/distortion.
The 4 series, also known as the 450 series, comprise the value-priced line of Samsung's 2008 LCD televisions. For more information refer to the Samsung 4 Series report.
