The DP42849 is an entry-level LCD HDTV from Sanyo and is an upgrade to the DP42848. The TV features a 42" widescreen display with a 16:9 aspect ratio and native resolution of 1080p for high definition graphics.

It includes built-in 10-watt speakers with MTS/SAP stereo and digital audio and has a response time of 6.5ms for reduced motion blur. The DP42849 offers an integrated ATSC/NTSC tuner and offers more connectivity than the DP42848 with HDMI, component, S-Video, composite, headphone, USB, and PC inputs. It is designed with a glossy black finish and has a detachable tilting stand allowing it to be wall-mounted. The TV is Energy Star compliant and comes with a 1 year limited warranty.
