Sharp AQUOS LC-46D65U
$1,899.00
Released October, 2008
The Pros:Multiple power saving modes appeal to eco-friendly users - "Standard" and "Advanced" settings offer multiple forms of conservation. Large number of HDMI inputs is ideal for high-end home theater configurations - allows users to connect a wide variety of HD devices (computers, media players) to the TV simultaneously. HD imagery is clear and vivid - black levels and white balance are particularly well-represented.
The Cons:Remote control is difficult to use - unit is fairly bulky, with relatively small buttons and an awkward layout in general. Built-in speakers are fairly poor - minimal volume handling and clarity amongst frequencies result in weak performance.
The AQUOS D65U Series from Sharp is their Fall 2008 refresh to the D64U series and features mostly the same specifications as its predecessor with the addition of Energy-Starcompliance. For more information refer to the full D65U Series report.
