Sony Internet TV NSX-24GT1
$600.00
Released October, 2010
The Pros:Streams run consistently, establishes a strong wireless connection. Provides good access to a number of online streaming services. Automatically checks for updated firmware and handles it without any special effort required.
The Cons:Heavy and with a deep cabinet, a bit tricky to mount on the wall.
The Sony Internet TV NSX-24GT1 is one of four Sony Internet HDTVs released in mid 2010 alongside the matching, Internet-capable NSZ-GT1. In particular, the 24” base model merges standard NTSC/ATSC/Clear-Qam television with Google TV, as the integrated Gigabit and WiFi connectivity and built-in applications allow users to stream Internet content (YouTube, Netflix), access Internet radio, and use social networking websites.

Note however that unlike its superior counterparts, the TV NSX-24GT1 hosts a CCFL backlit LCD (versus LED) construction, which clearly means a reduced contrast ratio, though 24p True Cinema is nevertheless included. Included with the device is a QWERTY remote featuring an integrated optical mouse for navigating content and typing in search terms.
Additional Information
Later in 2011 access to the Android Market and the ability to link to select mobile phones was also added.
