Vizio E470VA
$749.99
Released September, 2011
The Pros:Solid black-levels for a non-LED LCD. Relatively low price.
The Cons:Menus and options are quite basic. Can only play JPEG images files through USB input, not video files. Black levels will still not be as solid as LED or Plasma TVs.
The Vizio E470VA is a budget friendly 47” class LCD HDTV designed to provide a full 1080p high definition resolution, meaning users can watch television and movies in their optimal state. In addition to a high resolution, the E470VA also supports a fast response time, an ultra-fast refresh rate, and a high contrast ratio.

This translates to crystal clear videos with stark colors and no blurriness or distortion whatsoever. Plus it comes with integrated speakers, though there is a digital audio output for users who want to attach the HDTV to their own at home surround sound theater system. This system is entry level because it lacks certain features, notably Internet access, picture in picture, and composite connectivity. It does however support USB, meaning users with a digital camera can view their photos (not their videos) on the TV. Plus the E470VA was engineered to use 60% less power than a conventional LCD HDTV, meaning a reduced energy bill.
