Product Shot 1 The Pros:Extremely bright, can handle a sunlit room with no problems. Tuner works with a wide range of standards and seems to pick up everything. Plenty of inputs for both legacy and newer equipment.

The Cons:VGA connection doesn't read from a PC properly, tends to lock up the screen. HDMI connections to a PC lose sharpness. Not capable of very realistic colors, tends to look overly vibrant.

The Westinghouse TX-42F450S is a 42" LCD HDTV from Westinghouse's top-of-the-line TX Series of televisions.  The TV features 1080p native resolution and a 120 Hz panel for a combination of crisp images and a fast refresh rate to provide a complete high definition experience.

  It includes automatic source detection technology as well as DayBright panel technology to provide a clear picture in both day and night.  The TX-42F450S has a contrast ratio of 6000:1 and a response time of 6.5 ms which is an improvement compared to the 1000:1 contrast ratio and 8 ms response time of most of Westinghouse's previous TX series TVs.  It is equipped with an ATSC, NTSC, CATV, and Clear QAM TV tuner in addition to a range of inputs including HDMI, Component, Composite, VGA, and SPDIF.  The TX-42F450S is expected to be released in April 2009.
