The Cons:Doesn't differentiate much from the TX Series.
The VK Series is Westinghouse's entry level line of 1080p LCD televisions introduced in 2008. These sets share many similarities with the higher-end TX Series, also introduced in 2008. The most notable difference between the two line of televisions is the TX Series' support for 1080p source content on both the HDMI and Component inputs, while the VK series is limited to 1080p on just the HDMI inputs.
Furthermore the number of HDMI inputs on the VK series is reduced to two instead of four. The VK-42F240S, however, has all the same specs as the TX series (4 HDMI and 1080p on both HDMI and Component), but appears it was branded differently for sale at Costco.

Speakers - The speakers deserve special mention as they are more powerful than those found in competing sets. Westinghouse is intended for budget consumers and therefore the set is probably meant to deliver adequate sound experience without the need for a separate receiver and speaker setup.
